As I am looking for a new job and reflecting on my career, I have noticed a recurring pattern. 😩

In every job I had, it always felt like I had something to prove. Of course, taking a new position should always stretch you and be challenging but in my case, it always felt like I had to make a personal statement.

It all started when I decided to break the mould and to become an engineer. Now that was quite a journey, and definitely my first ever challenge!

Imagine being the only woman in a room at University…being measured on my gender before even submitting any work…Feeling the pressure to not only do well, but also to outperform my male counterparts.

This also meant developing resilience, having to gain the respect and acknowledgment of my peers, in the hope that someday, someone would see my potential.
