Hi, I’m Michelle
An engineering expert in the oil and gas industry, with over 25 years of experience working with global organisations in the UK and overseas, most recently as the Lead Engineer for an oil company in Qatar.
As one of few women in the industry, I’ve made it my mission to change the status quo surrounding traditionally male roles.
I’m passionate about being the best in my field, improving the efficiency of operations and solving complex situations where others have failed.

What I Do
Engineering expertise
I am an Oil and Gas Commercial and Engineering expert with over 25 years experience working on global projects in the UK and overseas. For the last 15 years, I have travelled the world managing large-scale projects for organisations such as Novatek, Total, Yamal and CNR International, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting operations and optimising techniques.
My expertise lies in the supervision of onshore and offshore operations in asset lifecycle, ICSS, design management, instrumentation, as well as functional safety, and electrical, metering and automation systems.
Offshore Oil & Gas Complex
Objective
- Maintaining & upgrading the Instrumentation & Control Systems.
- Management of the interfaces & integration of the engineering, commissioning & construction activities during PRE FEED, FEED, Detailed Design Phase.
- Managing & troubleshooting all Instrumentation & Control design work required during construction, commissioning & hook-up phases.
- Management of the EPC contractors during PRE FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Construction, Commissioning & Hook-up.
Outcome
- Prolonging operational assets by keeping on top off offshore plants maintenance and technology advances and implementation of obsolete technologies.
- Ensuring the operational assets are working in a safe manner by ensuring all maintenance strategies are up to date.
- Maximise the sustainability of the assets lifecycle by 25 years – Increasing production rates.
Floating Production Storage & Offloading Unit (FPSO)
Objective
- Managing the Instrumentation & Control work during the refurbishment of the FPSO.
- Company representation in monitoring and coordinating the site activities of EPC. Contractor, vendor and its sub-contractors for all instrumentation & control installations.
- Managing EPC Contractor & Vendors construction work activities.
- Monitoring site acceptance tests, including commissioning activities.
- Managing the ICSS & instrumentation Tie-in activities with existing facilities.
Outcome
- Prolonging operational assets by keeping on top off offshore plants maintenance and technology advances and implementation of obsolete technologies.
- Ensuring the operational assets are working in a safe manner by ensuring all maintenance strategies are up to date.
- Maximise the sustainability of the assets lifecycle by 15 years – Increasing production rates.

Troubleshooting and implementing solutions to improve the efficiency of operations is a particular passion of mine, as well as ensuring commercial success, to make complex projects cost-effective and profitable.
